Orient Green Power subsidiary Beta Wind Farm has selected Vestas to deliver and commission V100-1.8MW wind turbines for its 31MW Eppodum Venran wind farm in Tamil Nadu, India.
Vestas will supply 17 turbines, a VestasOnline Business SCADA system, and undertake a ten-year service and maintenance agreement, under the terms of the contract.
Delivery of the turbines is scheduled to start during the fourth quarter of 2011 and the project will be complete during the first quarter of 2012.
Upon completion, the Eppodum Venran wind power plant will reduce about 85,000t of carbon dioxide emissions per year.
