Gamesa has agreed to sell its 30MW wind farm located in Catalonia, Spain, to Greentech Energy Systems for $65m.
The companies expect to close the transaction in September 2011, subject to approval from the Catalan Regional Government.
Greentech CEO Sigieri Diaz della Vittoria Pallavicini said the company is currently in talks with a Spanish bank and hopes to receive a loan for 80% of the purchase price.
The Catalonia wind farm is expected to reduce the carbon dioxide by 40,000t per annum, under standard wind conditions.
The wind farm is equipped with 15 G90-2.0MW wind turbines and is constructed by Gamesa’s wind farm development and sale business.
