Skanska Infrastructure Development, wind farm developer O2 and Jamtkraft plan to invest about SEK1.1bn ($170m) for the construction of a 78MW wind farm in Sweden.
The plant, to be located at Sjisjka, will be one of the largest land-based plants in Sweden, Skanska said.
It will comprise 30 wind turbines capable of generating 200GWh of power every year, sufficient to power about 43,000 homes.
Skanska will act as the investor and contractor for the project, O2 will oversee the project engineering, turbine procurement, planning and operation, while Jamtkraft will deal with power grids, production and electricity supply.
Vestas will supply the wind turbines, while Jemtska, a joint venture between Skanska and Jamtkraft, will be the contractor for civil and electrical works.
Construction of the project has already begun and the plant is expected to start power generation in 2012.
The project will be 50% owned by Skanska, while O2 and Jamtkraft will each hold a 25% stake.
