Germany’s EnBW is considering selling its stake in its high-voltage power grid to infrastructure funds for an undisclosed sum.

The final decision on the stake sale is yet to be taken but EnBW plans to retain a majority stake in the grid.

EnBW’s 3,644km long power grid is the smallest among the four power transmission networks in Germany, reports Reuters.

As of now only E.ON and Vatrenfall have divested their grids and RWE is planning to sell its 75% stake in the Amprion’s high-voltage power grid to an undisclosed financial-industry investors.
