Q-Cells North America is to begin the construction of the 10MW SSM3 project in Ontario, Canada.
The SSM3 is part of the 60MW project Q-Cells is developing for Starwood Energy Group Global and follows the development of the 20MW SSM1 and 30MW SSM2 projects.
Upon completion, the SSM3 project will generate energy sufficient to power 4,000 homes in Ontario.
The plant is expected to commence operations by the end of 2011.
