India’s Punj Lloyd has secured a INR2.1bn ($46.82m) civil contract from the National Thermal Power Corperation (NTPC) to undertake balance offloaded work for a thermal power plant being constructed in the state of Assam.

NTPC will provide free steel and cement for the construction of the thermal plant ensuring easy procurement of raw materials.

Punj Lloyd The scope of work entails underground civil work, piling and foundations for over ground civil, structural and architectural work for the plant’s main buildings.
