Alstom has secured a contract worth €330m from Dalia Power Energies to provide operation and maintenance services for its 835MW gas-fired Tzafit power plant in Israel.

Under the contract, Alstom will provide operation and maintenance services for the two gas-fired combined-cycle units for two decades.

The Tzafit power station is expected to begin commercial operation by 2014.

Alstom has also secured an engineering, procurement and construction contract to develop two gas turbines units of 417MW each, based on GT26 gas turbine, steam turbine, generator, control system and heat recovery steam.
