Acorn Energy has signed a definitive agreement with Energy Capital Partners (ECP) to sell its CoaLogix subsidiary for $101m.

Coaloix is 65% owned by Acorn Energy with the remaining interest owned by EnerTech Capital and CoaLogix management.

The transaction is expected to close within 45 days and is subject to customary closing conditions.

CoaLogix is a provider of SCR catalyst and regeneration technologies, which are used to reduce NOx for coal-fired electric utility power plants.
