Vestas has signed a contract with E ON Climate & Renewables North America to supply 112 V100-1.8 MW turbines for the US.
Under the contract, Vestas will deliver and commission the turbines as part of the 202MW order, and provide service and maintenance for five years.
The contract includes Vestas’ Active Output Management (AOM) 4000 maintenance programme, which guarantees turbine availability and includes all planned and unplanned maintenance services.
The programme also includes continuous remote monitoring and surveillance of the project through the VestasOnline SCADA system.
Delivery of the turbines is expected to take place in the first half of 2012 and the turbines will be commissioned by mid-2012.
The project will power over 60,000 homes in the region, once completed.
