Vattenfall has completed the construction of the SEK1.5bn ($236m) Stor-Rotliden wind farm in Sweden.
The wind farm is equipped with 40 Vestas V90 wind turbines with an installed capacity of 78MW and is expected to generate about 240GWh of energy every year, sufficient to power 50,000 homes.
The main contractors for the Stor-Rotliden wind farm include Peab, Siemens and Vestas.
Once fully operational, the plant will supply a twentieth of the wind power electricity currently generated by Vattenfall.
The company is also planning to invest about SEK26bn ($4.1bn) for the development of more wind farms in 2015.
