E.ON plans to complete the construction of two new installations, Fiume Santo 2 (FS2) and 5 (FS5), located in Sardinia, Italy, later this year.
Construction of the two installations began in June and July.
The two plants have a combined capacity of 29.6MW and are situated next to the company’s existing coal-fired power plant, Fiume Santo.
E.ON will equip the plants with crystalline silicon photovoltaic modules and FS2 plant will generate 17.88MW of renewable power.
Upon reaching full capacity, the plants will generate enough power to meet the annual average needs of approximately 20,000 households.
