REpower Systems has secured contracts to deliver a total of 47 wind turbines to seven communities in Northern Friesland, Germany.

Under the contract, the company will supply 33 2MW (MM82 and MM92) wind turbines and 14 high-performance 3MW turbines (3.4M104), which will achieve a combined output of 114.83MW.

All seven wind farms have a full maintenance contract for 15 years, with a further five-year option.

Construction of the wind farms is expected to be complete by the end of 2012 or in 2013 and commence commercial operations later in 2013.
