Japan-based Tokyo Electric Power Co. (TEPCO) said it plans to resume operations at its No.7 reactor at the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa nuclear power station following a leaking fuel rod.
The 1,356MW reactor has been closed for repair since mid September following detection of a leaking fuel rod.
Repair work involves replacing the fuel rods.
The Kashiwazaki-Kariwa power station is one of the biggest nuclear plants in the world.
