Burlington International Airport in the US is installing a wind turbine as part of an expansion project at Heritage Aviation and Flight.

The 100KW turbine will sit atop a tower that has been built by US-based renewable energy company Alteris.

The $18m renewable energy project will also include a bank of solar panels on the roof of the company’s new building.

Heritage is the first general aviation facility in the country to use renewable energy.
