The world’s biggest wind turbine manufacturer Vestas has won an order from a Chinese company to supply turbines with a capacity of 50MW, the company said.
“Delivery of the turbines is planned to take place during the third quarter of 2010,” a Vestas Wind Systems spokesperson said in a statement.
The deal includes the supply and commissioning of the turbines, and maintenance for two years.
The order from an undisclosed customer is for the second phase of a project in Heilongjiang province, for which Vestas announced an order at the end of March.
