Amec has won a contract from EDF to support its architect engineering operations for four EPR nuclear reactors at Hinkley Point and Sizewell in the UK.
The contract will run for 11 years, with an option to extend for a further four.
Amec executive director Neil Bruce said nuclear power will address the energy mix the UK needs to secure a supply of low-CO2 power.
EDF said the first of the reactors will start generating electricity by the end of 2017.
