Conergy AG is to build a 5MW solar power station in Drama, Greece.

The solar energy park will use Conergy’s solar systems technologies, with the firm installing 22,704 of its PowerPlus 220P Premium Modules at the 200,000m² area, reports renewable energyfocus.com.

The power station will be capable of generating 7.1GWh of electricity a year, and is due to come into service by summer 2010.

The solar modules will feed into the public power grid in nine CIS 540 inverter stations.
