RWE AG’s Dutch unit Essent NV has started publishing total power plant capacity in the Netherlands on an hourly basis as it aims to increase transparency in the country.

Essent will also publish individual plant output and future availability before the end of the year, the company’s chief executive officer Peter Terium told Bloomberg.

RWE began to publish individual power plant data in Germany in July 2007. Essent’s aim is to provide the same standard, Terium said.
