Vedanta Resources Plc’s Bharat Aluminium has called bids to operate a 1,200MW coal-fired power plant it is building in eastern India, according to local news reports.

The company, known as Balco, is seeking bids for the operation and maintenance of four units of 300MW each at its aluminum complex at Korba in Chhattisgarh state, writes India’s Economic Times.

Submission of offers is open for ten days starting today.
