Alstom has signed a $100m contract with Brazilian renewable power generating company Desenvix to build a 90MW wind farm complex in Bahia, Brazil.

According to the contract, the French company will provide 57 ECO 86 wind turbines of 1.67MW each, which will be installed at Brotas complex, which will have three wind farms.

The main components of the wind turbines will be manufactured in Spain and Brazil and assembled on the three wind farms.

The find farms are scheduled to be commissioned in July 2011.
