Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) will install a 1,200MW thermal power plant for Dainik Bhaskar Power in the state of Chhattisgarh, India.

Valued at INR26.6bn ($563m), the order includes supply and installation of the main plant package for their upcoming coal-based thermal power project in Chhattisgarh.

The thermal plant comprises two 600MW thermal sets.

BHEL will be responsible for design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of boilers, steam turbines and turbo-generators and controls and instrumentation (C&I) and other associated auxiliaries.
