Consumers Energy will receive 56 wind turbine generators from Vestas for its Lake Winds Energy Park in Mason County, Michigan, US.
As per the contract, Vestas will manufacture, deliver and commission V100 turbine units of 1.8MW class.
The total installed capacity of the 56 turbines is 100.8MW.
The Lake Winds Energy Park is expected to begin operation in late 2012.
Consumers Energy president and chief executive officer John Russell said that by the end of 2012, including the addition of our Lake Winds Energy Park, about 8% of the power that Consumers Energy supplies is expected to come from Michigan-based renewable sources.
