GE and German wind developer Pro Ventum International will work together to build a 90MW wind farm near Bangkok, Thailand.
Under a memorandum of understanding (MoU), GE will supply 36 2.5MW class wind turbines to the Thep Sathit Wind Farm.
GE is also looking into a potential equity investment in the project.
Thailand minister of energy Wannarat Charnnukul said that the project will support the Thai Government’s policy, which calls for the use of renewable resources for 20% of the country’s power generation by the year 2020.
