Vestas will deliver 140 of its V112-3.0MW turbines for AGL Energy and Meridian’s 420MW Macarthur wind project in Australia.
The Macarthur Wind Farm is to become the largest wind farm in the country, generating 420MW of clean and renewable energy.
Vestas will install the Macarthur Wind Farm in concert with Leighton Contractors.
The contract comprises a full engineering, procurement and construction contract (EPC), a ten-year service agreement and a VestasOnline Business SCADA solution.
The first turbines will be installed on the farm by the third quarter of 2011 with the whole project expected to be fully installed by the first half of 2013.
