Lahad Datu Energy will submit an environment impact assessment (EIA) report to the Indonesian Department of Environment (DOE) for a proposed 300MW coal-fired power plant in eastern Malaysia.
The EIA report is a detailed and revised document submitted to the department after it rejected the firm’s previous report on the project, the company said in a statement.
The DOE asked for a more detailed report on mitigation measures for the proposed plant, and an EIA for the transmission route as an additional requirement.
