Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas has received a 50MW wind energy order from Hanas New Energy.
Under the order, Vestas will supply 25 units of its V90-2.0 MW turbine model for Hanas New Energy to be installed in Yanchi wind park in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region (NHAR).
The order comprises turbine supply and delivery, towers, VestasOnline Business SCADA solution and a standard two-year service agreement.
Delivery of the wind turbines is expected to commence in the third quarter of 2013.
Since April 2010, Hanas New Energy has placed orders with a total capacity of 250MW with Vestas, all using the 2MW platform, of which 150MW are already in operation, while 50MW are currently under construction.
Vestas Asia Pacific and China president Jens Tommerup said, "The relationship with Hanas New Energy so far has been a very exciting and fruitful journey.
"Vestas was chosen as their partner three years back because we possessed some unique capabilities that could help maximise the value of their first venture into the wind business. We are proud to have been chosen again."
Hanas New Energy has 1GW of wind energy in its development pipeline.
