Description

The project is being developed by Empresa Electrica de Las Tunas and Energoimport. The project is currently owned by Energoimport with a stake of 100%.

The project is expected to generate 13,796,000MWh electricity to offset 130,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The power generated from the project will be sold to Union Electrica de Cuba under a power purchase agreement.

Goldwind Science & Technology will be the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company is expected to provide 34 units of MONO(f165)S5LV02-2.57 turbines, each with 1.5MW nameplate capacity.

Goldwind Science & Technology is expected to perform operations and maintenance for the wind power project for a period of 2 years.
