Description
The project is being developed by Ocean Winds. ENGIE Green France, EDP Renovaveis and Caisse des Depots et Consignations are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 45%, 35% and 20% respectively.
The project is expected to generate 110,000MWh electricity to offset 90,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The turbines will be mounted on floating semi-submersible foundations and will be interconnected by 66kV inter-array cable.
Development status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2023. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2024.
Contractors involved
Vestas Offshore Wind will be the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company is expected to provide 3 units of V164-10.0 MW turbines, each with 10MW nameplate capacity.
Vestas Offshore Wind is expected to perform operations and maintenance for the wind power project for a period of 18 years.
