Germany’s power industry IT recruitment activity rises 18.3% in November 2021

Germany’s power industry registered an 18.3% rise in IT hiring activity in November 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 14.43% in November 2021 when compared with October 2021.

Out of the power industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 9.48% share in November 2021, recording an increase of 0.46% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Germany’s power industry’s IT recruitment activity in November 2021

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 99.5% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s power industry in November 2021.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 67.16% in November 2021, registering a 90.14% growth over the previous month.

2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed an 11.94% share, an increase of 14.29% over the previous month.

3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 10.95%, registering a 4.76% rise from October 2021.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 5.47%, up 175% over the previous month.

Top five power companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in November 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 101.2% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s power industry during November 2021 over October 2021.

E.ON posted 77 IT jobs in November 2021 and registered a rise of 862.5% over the previous month, followed by Siemens with 39 jobs and an 18.18% growth. Nordex with 25 IT jobs and EnBW Energie Baden-Wurttemberg with 18 jobs, recorded a 4.17% growth and an 80% growth, respectively, while Vattenfall recorded a flat growth with 8 job postings during November 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 69.15%, up by 52.75% from October 2021. Mid Level positions with a 19.9% share, registered an increase of 263.64% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 10.95% share, up 4.76% over October 2021.
