The project is being developed and currently owned by Hecate Energy.
Cider Solar Farm is a ground-mounted solar project which is planned over 2,800 acres.
The project is expected to generate 920,000MWh electricity and supply enough clean energy to power 120,000 households. The project is expected to offset 420,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is expected to be around $650m.
Development Status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2022. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2023.
