Description
Engie Brasil Energia, Vale, Alcoa and MOVER Participacoes are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 40.07%, 30%, 25.49% and 4.44% respectively.
Estreito is a run-of-river project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 5,400 million cubic meter. The gross head and net head of the project are 22m and 18.94m respectively. The project cost is $3,038.861m.

Contractors Involved
Voith Siemens Hydro Power Generation was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 8 units of kaplan turbines, each with 135.87MW nameplate capacity.
GE Renewable Energy supplied electric generator(s) for the project. The generator capacity is 152 MVA.
