Description
The project was developed by North Eastern Electric Power and is currently owned by National Thermal Power with a stake of 100%.
Kameng is a run-of-river project. The gross head and net head of the project are 536m and 501.22m respectively. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, are 2 in number. The penstock length is 2,200m. The penstock diameter is 4.5m. The project generated 3,353 GWh of electricity. The project cost is $1,053.65m.
