Description

The project is being developed by NHPC. Jindal Power and NHPC are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 74% and 26% respectively.

Kamala HEP is a run-of-river project. The hydro reservoir capacity is planned to be 623.58 million cubic meter. The net head of the project will be 154.17m. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, is expected to be 1 in number. The penstock length will be 166m. The penstock diameter will be 4m. The project is expected to generate 7,338.1 GWh of electricity.
