Description

The project was developed by Tokushima Tsuda Biomass Power Plant GK. Renova and Osaka Gas are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 60.8% and 33.5% respectively.

The project generates 500GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 250,000 households.

Agricultural by-product and wood by-product are used as a feedstock to power the project.

Development status

The project got commissioned in December 2023.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Shikoku Electric Power under a power purchase agreement at the rate of $0.215kWh.

Contractors involved

Hitachi Zosen was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the biopower project.

Andritz supplied steam boiler for the project.

Hitachi Zosen is the O&M contractor for the project.
