Tianshengqiao II, China

Tianshengqiao II is a 1,320MW hydro power project. It is located on Nanpan river/basin in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. The project construction commenced in 1984 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 1992.

The project is developed and owned by Tianshengqiao Hydroelectric Power Plant. The company has a stake of 100%.

Tianshengqiao II is a run-of-river project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 26 million cubic meter. The project generated 8,200 GWh of electricity.

Development Status

The project construction commenced in 1984 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 1992.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to China Southern Power Grid under a power purchase agreement.

Contractors Involved

Harbin Electric Machinery was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 6 turbines, each with 220MW nameplate capacity.
