Vestas has secured an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for a 101MW project being developed by Trinethra Wind and Hydro Power.

The project, which is being developed in Gujarat, India, will distribute electricity to industrial and commercial customers through third-party power purchase agreements.

Vestas will be responsible for the delivery, installation and commissioning of 46 V120-2.2MW turbines, along with electrical and civil work.

The turbines are expected to be delivered by the first quarter of 2019, while commissioning is scheduled for the second quarter of the year.

Based in India, Trinethra Wind and Hydro Power is a subsidiary of Continuum Wind Energy, which is a renewable energy company, while Vestas is a Denmark-based seller, installer and manufacturer of wind turbines.

Canadian Solar has signed a partnership agreement with Signal Energy to deliver the 175MWp Finley solar farm being developed by ESCO Pacific in New South Wales, Australia.

SeaRoc’s SeaPlanner marine monitoring software has been selected to support the commissioning of the Merkur offshore wind farm being developed in Germany.

The contract was awarded as part of SeaRoc’s partnership with Marine Coordination Services.

SeaRoc will provide vessel tracking software and access control hardware, as well as develop a marine co-ordination centre in Eemshaven, Netherlands.

Based in the UK, SeaRoc is a subsidiary of Fred Oslen and is engaged in the provision of software and data management tools for the offshore renewable industry.

Apex Clean Energy has purchased 442.5MW of solar projects located in Virginia, US, from SolUnesco for an undisclosed amount.

The acquisition includes the 150MW Carvers Creek project, the 150MW Moody Creek project, the 130MW Red Brick project and the 12.5MW Rivanna project.

The acquisition will expand Apex’s solar projects portfolio to 3GW.

Apex Clean Energy is a utility-scale solar and wind power project operator, while SolUnesco is involved in the development of renewable energy projects. Both companies are based in the US.
