T&D Project stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Europe region in Q4 2019 with 82 tenders and a 30.4% share, followed by T&D Equipment with 63 tenders and a 23.3% share and Generation Equipment with 56 tenders and a 20.7% share during the quarter.
The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:
- Supply & Erection: 56 tenders and an 88.9% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: five tenders and a 7.9% share
- Consulting & Similar Services: one tender and a 1.6% share
- Project Implementation: one tender and a 1.6% share.
Hydro is top technology for Europe T&D equipment tenders in Q4 2019
Looking at T&D equipment tenders by the type of technology in the Europe region, hydro accounted for four tenders with a 57.1% share, followed by wind with two tenders and a 28.6% share and solar with one tender and a 14.3% share.
