T&D Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Middle East and Africa region in August 2021 with 96 tenders and a 54.5% share, followed by Power Plant with 30 tenders and a 17% share and Generation Equipment with 22 tenders and a 12.5% share during the month.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Project Implementation: 25 tenders and an 83.3% share
  2. Consulting & Similar Services: four tenders and a 13.3% share

The top issuers of power plant tenders for the month in terms of power capacity involved in Middle East and Africa were:

  1. Ministry of Electricity and Water (Kuwait): 7,200MW from two tenders
  2. National Transport Infrastructure Company of Israel: 20MW from one tender
  3. Ministry of Education: 0.25MW capacity from four tenders.
