Acaray HPP is a 200MW hydro power project. It is located on Acaray river/basin in Alto Parana, Paraguay. The project is currently active. It has been developed in multiple phases. The project construction commenced in 1965 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 1968.

Description

The project is developed and owned by Administracion Nacional de Electricidad. The company has a stake of 100%.

Acaray HPP is a reservoir based project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 80 million cubic meter. Acaray HPP underwent through rehabilitation & modernization during 1977, 2018. The project generated 950 GWh of electricity.

Acaray HPP (Acaray HPP Phase I) consists of 2 units of francis turbines.

Acaray HPP (Acaray HPP Phase II) consists of 2 units of francis turbines.
