Description
The project was developed by SINOP Energy. Electricite de France, Centrais Eletricas do Norte do Brasil and Companhia Hidro Eletrica do Sao Francisco are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 51%, 24.5% and 24.5% respectively.
The gross head and net head of the project are 29.97m and 24.5m respectively. The project generated 2,100 GWh of electricity. The project cost is $880m.

Andritz Hydro was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 2 units of kaplan turbines, each with 204MW nameplate capacity.
