Deutsche Windtechnik’s French unit has secured new contracts to offer maintenance services for Danish company Vestas’ V90 wind turbines for the first time.
Under the terms of the deal, Deutsche Windtechnik SARL will commence providing maintenance for the turbines in June this year. The company will offer its services for 22 units, with a total power generation capacity of 44MW.

The two companies have entered into the maintenance agreement for four years with no provision to extend.
Deutsche Windtechnik's X-Service managing director Holger Hämel said: “Our strong network enabled us to use our resources and expand our portfolio in France to include full maintenance for the Vestas turbines.”
Of the 22 wind turbines included in the contract, ten are located in Northern France’s Picardy region, six in the centre, and the remaining six turbines are installed in the Brittany region.
Deutsche Windtechnik is already under contract to provide maintenance for the La Renardière, Cerro de Hula (CDH), and SPDM 1 / SPDM 2 windpower facilities. The close proximity of Vestas' turbines to these facilities will allow the company to make use of existing infrastructure.
