The project is currently owned by Sacramento Municipal Utility District.

Camino is a reservoir based project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 1.01 million cubic meter. The net head of the project is 300m. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, are 1 in number. The penstock length is 468m. The penstock diameter is 1.5m. Camino underwent through rehabilitation & modernization during 2000.
