Spanish giant Gamesa has won new orders for three wind power projects, totalling 130MW, in India.

The company has been selected as the engineering, procurement, construction contractor for a 50MW wind project being developed in the state of Gujarat.

To be equipped with 25 Gamesa G97-2.0 W turbines, the farm is scheduled to start commercial operations in September.

The second and third orders are for two 30MW and 50MW wind energy projects in the state of Madhya Pradesh.

Gamesa will supply 15 G97-2.0 MW Class S turbines for the second farm and 25 of these turbines for the third. Both the projects are slated to be operational in the first quarter of this year.
