Out of the power industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 14.15% share in March 2022, recording a decrease of 3.51% over the last three-month average share.

By GlobalData1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 78.95% in March 2022, registering a 37.5% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed an 8.77% share, an increase of 25% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 8.77%, registering a 44.44% decline from February 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 3.51%, down 50% over the previous month.
Top five power companies in Australia’s IT recruitment activity in March 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 26.15% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Australia’s power industry during March 2022 over February 2022.
Snowy Hydro posted 23 IT jobs in March 2022 and registered a drop of 50% over the previous month, followed by Origin Energy with 9 jobs and a 50% growth. CLP Holdings with 9 IT jobs and AGL Energy with 4 jobs, recorded a 50% growth and a 42.86% decrease, respectively, while Hanwha Q CELLS recorded a flat growth with 3 job postings during March 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in March 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 89.47%, down by 41.38% from February 2022. Mid Level positions with a 5.26% share, registered a decline of 40% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 5.26% share, down 25% over February 2022.
