Looking at tenders by country, Bangladesh led the activity in March 2022 with 12 tenders and a share of 36.4%, down 1.1% over the previous month and down 20% when compared with the last 12 month-average, followed by Sri Lanka with 12 tenders and a share of 36.4% and Pakistan with seven tenders and a share of 21.2% during the month.

Looking at the last 12-month average, Pakistan held the top spot with 38 tenders, followed by the Philippines with 23 and India with 21 tenders.

Looking at power industry tenders divided by segment in Asia-Pacific as tracked by GlobalData, T&D Equipment was the most popular segment in March 2022, with 26 tenders, followed by Smart Grid (4) and T&D Project (3).

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

1. Supply & Erection: 30 tenders and a 90.9% share
2. Project Implementation: two tenders and a 6.1% share
3. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: one tender and a 3% share.
