Europe power industry tenders in May 2022: Poland leads activity

Looking at tenders by country, Poland led the activity in May 2022 with 27 tenders and a share of 81.8%, up 1.8% over the previous month and down 13% when compared with the last 12 month-average, followed by Sweden with two tenders and a share of 6.1% and Hungary with two tenders and a share of 6.1% during the month.

Looking at the last 12-month average, Poland held the top spot with 31 tenders, followed by France with nine and Germany with seven tenders.

Thermal is top technology area for tenders in May 2022

Looking at tenders divided by the type of technology, thermal accounted for the largest proportion with three tenders and a 42.9% share, followed by nuclear with two tenders and a 28.6% share and solar with two tenders and a 28.6% share.

Looking at power industry tenders divided by segment in Europe as tracked by GlobalData, T&D Project was the most popular segment in May 2022, with 17 tenders, followed by T&D Equipment (9) and Generation Equipment (3).

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  2. Project Implementation: nine tenders and a 27.3% share
  3. Supply & Erection: nine tenders and a 27.3% share

The top issuers of tenders for the month in terms of power capacity involved in Europe were:
