Spanish wind manufacturer Gamesa has signed two agreements for 260MW of wind turbine delivery in India.
According to the first contract, Gamesa will supply, install, and commission 80 of its G97-2MW turbines for Greenko.

The 160MW contract is the first part of the new framework agreement between Gamesa and Greenko, which allows room for 300MW wind energy developments in the country.
While 30 of the lot will be set up for the Jaisalmer region of Rajasthan, the rest will be put to work at Basavanabagewadi in Karnataka.
As well as installation, Gamesa will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the 80 turbines, which have been scheduled to be delivered by the initial quarter of the year.
Both the Indian wind farms are likely to be commissioned by June.

Gamesa’s second contract has been signed with CLP India for a 100MW wind power development in Chandgargh, Madhya Pradesh.
Under the deal, 50 of Gamesa’s G97-2.0 MW turbines will be delivered and installed at the facility. The firm will also be responsible for offering its services for the project, as well as handling the entire infrastructure for operations and installation.
Delivery of turbines has been scheduled for the first half of the year, following which the project commissioning will be done by the end of 2015.
Gamesa chairman and managing director in India Ramesh Kymal said: "These new order wins reinforce our leadership position in India, a rapidly-growing market, and evidence the stock placed by customers in Gamesa’s technology and experience."
