EDF Renewable Services has signed a Balance of Plant (BOP) contract with Sumitomo Corporation of Americas to offer operation and maintenance services at the 200MW Mesquite Creek wind facility in Texas, the US.

The operations and maintenance services to be provided include the collection system, substation, transmission lines, switchgear, equipment, transformers, machinery, fibre-optic cables for the supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system, communication systems, control systems, foundations, poles, O&M facility and road.

According to the agreement, EDF Renewable Services’ NERC compliant Operations Control Center (OCC) will handle the remote services for the facility.

EDF Renewable Services business development director Dalen Copeland said: "EDF Renewable Services looks forward to deploying our depth of experience to assist our valued customer in achieving operational expectations.
