Description

The project was developed by South Field Energy. The project is currently owned by Kyushu Electric Power with a stake of 18.1%, ENEOS Holdings with a stake of 15%, Shikoku Electric Power with a stake of 8.9%, Bechtel and NH-Amundi Asset Management.

It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Ultra-Low Sulfur Distillate.

The Gas fired project consists of 2 steam turbines, each with 260.8MW nameplate capacity.

Development status

The project construction commenced in 2019 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in October 2021.

Contractors involved

Bechtel was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the gas fired power project.

GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 2 units of 1x1 SS 7HA.02 gas turbines, each with 344.4MW nameplate capacity.
