Quanta Services has been selected by American Electric Power to provide transmission infrastructure services for two AEP Transmission Company subsidiaries.
The estimated value of the contract is $300m, with the agreement signed by AEP Ohio Transmission Company and AEP Oklahoma Transmission Company.

Under the terms of the agreement, Quanta will rebuild or replace 900 miles of existing transmission infrastructure including structures, conductor and shield wire.
Work on the project has already began and is expected to be complete in 2014.
